Eric Lefkofsky is an American businessman who has established a number of companies over the course of his professional career. His life started in Southfield Michigan in 1969. His mother was a school teacher and his father was a structural engineer. He grew up with two siblings, a brother and a sister. He is a graduate of Southfield-Lathrup High School and then left to attend the University of Michigan. After some other business activity he eventually founded InnerWorkings in 2001. His leadership led to the company declaring an IPO in August of 2006.
